Job Title Definition:
Business Services Managers oversee and/or assist with the overall management of a unit that supports business functions of the University. Areas may include airport operations, mail services, event management, facilities management, parking, printing services, etc. Create and/or support the strategic initiatives of the unit; participate in the financial success of the operation by identifying cost savings and revenue sources; coordinate projects and programs; evaluate business trends and make recommendations to improve operations efficiencies; participate on, and possibly lead, work groups and committees; supervise assigned staff that may include full-time, part-time, student, and temporary employees. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.
