- Job Title Definition:
- The Compliance Manager oversees and coordinates University-wide compliance; including federally-mandated programs such as conflict of interest, research, compliance education and training; defines goals for future organizational performance and decides on the tasks and uses of resources needed to attain them; communicates goals to employees throughout the unit or organization; leads employees and supports diversity through hiring, retention, and promotional activities; ensures established standards of continuous quality improvement are met; ensures operational and strategic direction and accountability; links unit operations to strategic objectives; exercises authority for unit policies and procedures and operational decisions for departments; influences organizational and community relations to develop and achieve strategic goals and manages customer relations; consults with other institutions, federal and other agencies and other non-University entities and represents the University; supervises assigned employees, providing guidance on planning, prioritizing and developing schedules for tasks, initiatives, or action plans; leads and manages teams. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.
