Job Title Definition:
The Extension Associate provides educational resources, programs and assistance to a wide variety of extension educators and clientele; collaborates on the development and dissemination of new information; assists in organizing and coordinating meetings, events, tours, clinics, workshops and/or demonstrations; coordinates and supports research and extension activities related to certain grants and/or projects; participates in program planning teams and/or committees. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.

Typical Work Duties
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, events, tours, clinics, workshops, and demonstrations
  • Market educational events to increase clientele awareness of new practices and processes
  • Collaborate with agencies, civic organizations, or schools
  • Perform assessments of program needs and recommend changes/adjustments to program delivery, as needed
  • Serve on program teams, as required
  • Represent the University at various events, meetings and programs, as assigned
