I-9 Information

The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) requires employers to verify the employment eligibility and identity of all employees hired to work in the United States after November 6, 1986. To implement this law, employers are required to complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) for each new employee (both citizen and noncitizen).  

Important Updates and Information

  • On July 17, 2017, a new version of the Form I-9 was released by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Effective September 18, 2017, employers must only use the new Form I-9.
