Jobs in this category may be involved in working closely with companies of all types ranging from large multi-national corporations to small businesses and are not limited to strictly “industrial” companies. Major activities include marketing the University’s capabilities, seeking and negotiating contracts/agreements, and providing outreach services.
Job Title Definition:
The Industry Relations Coordinator identifies, develops and maintains external relationships, primarily with companies but also some non-profit groups, to further the University’s research and outreach missions; promotes the University’s capabilities, coordinates faculty interactions with companies, increases the number and/or value of industry research contracts, promotes economic development, and assists small businesses. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.
