Job Title Definition:
The Planner Estimator plans, estimates, and manages single and multiple discipline internally funded major maintenance projects. Projects are initiated from work orders, project requests, and facility inspections. The Planner Estimator allocates available material and labor resources; honors the constraints of scope, schedule, and budget; assists project coordinators and project managers with project development; provides design estimates for feasibility studies and conceptual designs for developing customer and internal budgets. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.

Typical Work Duties
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with supervisors, managers and directors as necessary
  • Supervise and evaluate senior staff; monitor adherence to departmental processes and procedures and ensure that goals are met; hire and discipline staff
