  • Provide initial consultation and diagnostic assessment for students with a wide range of mental health, behavioral, emotional and developmental concerns
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention including assessment for safety
  • Provide individual and couples psychotherapy
  • Provide group psychotherapy
  • Provide appropriate disposition including on and off campus referrals
  • Provide consultation regarding complex crises and mental health concerns to the University community
  • Assist with educational programs and outreach to address campus issues
  • May administer, score and interpret psychological assessment instruments and complete assessment batteries
  • Collaborate with psychiatric and health care providers as necessary
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings/staff development and relevant seminars
  • At times psychologists may also be involved in teaching, research, and scholarly publications and presentations as well as department related activities as affiliate faculty
