Camp Support positions assist with planning and implementing daily activities of athletic, recreational, and or educational camps; lead small and large group activities, coordinate camp operations and logistics, and promote an engaging environment for camp participants.  


  • Lead and/or contribute to the daily operations of University camps, including organizing materials/equipment, maintaining the schedule of activities, providing guidance to participants during activities, and promoting a safe and positive environment for participants
  • Organize, coordinate, instruct and/or facilitate activities related to arts, sports, recreation, or STEM
  • Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and execute activities accordingly
  • Contribute to the planning of camp structure, daily schedule, and activities
  • Provide input into the assessment, evaluation, and improvement of daily activities and operations
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the camp in order to ensure the safety of participants
  • May provide supervision for various camp areas including housing and commons spaces
  • Support general camp administration such as responding to inquiries, assisting with data entry, facilitating registration, coordinating the ordering and delivery of equipment/supplies, and conducting camp site inspections
  • May administer routine first aid according to prescribed procedures and notify emergency medical personnel when necessary
  • Document and report incidents of misconduct or safety concerns
