JOB TITLE DEFINITION:

Childhood Development Support staff assist classroom teachers with supervision of children and guiding classroom activities in infant\toddler and preschool classrooms.

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES:

• Supervise children alongside full-time staff members
• Guide classroom activities and support curriculum
• Interact with children one-on-one and in small groups
• Help teachers prepare for lessons by assembling materials and equipment
• Assist with cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials
• Assist children with daily routines, such as meals, naptime, hand washing, and diapering/toileting
• Help teachers keep environment organized and safe for children in the classroom
• Assist with maintaining classroom security
• Assist with record keeping, such as attendance records and student progress notes

REQUIREMENTS:
PA State Police Criminal Background Check
PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
FBI Criminal Background Check
NSOR - (National Sex Offender Registry Verification is also required)
