JOB TITLE DEFINITION:  

The Learning Design Support position provides administrative, technical, and production support for instructional designers and faculty related to updating and maintaining information in course administrative systems; updating and maintaining web pages; assisting in the production of on-line courses; and accurately processing many details in a highly organized and efficient manner. 

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES:  

  • Proactively perform administrative, technical, production and project management aspects of repeat, revision, and new course development cycles, including complex inter-dependencies 
  • Assist in the management of repeat course setup process including communicating course information to faculty in coordination with the program/project coordinator 
  • Identify, develop, and provide training to others on course-related tools 
  • Participate in the development and support of processes and tools used in support of course development 
  • Provide expertise in using the features of the course management system including ability to troubleshoot and document issues related to its use 
  • May analyze processes and systems to make recommendations and implement improvements
