JOB TITLE DEFINITION:  

Promotes personal, academic, and social growth through personal/group counseling and support services.

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES:  

• Provide counseling support for students through individual and group sessions
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized plans based on student needs
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals to community resources when appropriate
• Assist in the development and delivery of outreach programs
• Provide liaison and consultative services to faculty, staff, and student organizations
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation
• Adhere to ethical standards, legal requirements, and university policies

REQUIREMENTS: May require Master’s Degree or higher in counselor education, psychology, social work, or related discipline. May require completed practicum in Counseling (Counseling Skills and Techniques).
