JOB TITLE DEFINITION:  

The Creamery Production Worker is responsible for assisting in the production, packaging, and handling of dairy products in the Penn State Berkey Creamery; supports daily operations by operating equipment, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and ensuring products meet quality specifications.

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES:

• Operate and monitor creamery production equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with processing dairy products such as milk, cheese, ice cream, and yogurt
• Package, label, and prepare products for storage or shipment
• Follow recipes, production schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment, tools, and work areas
• Perform quality checks on products and report any issues or inconsistencies
• Follow all food safety, OSHA, and company safety regulations
• Load and unload ingredients, supplies, and finished goods
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
