Prerequisite: It is highly recommended that you complete the Foundational Project Management Series (PJT-100) prior to enrolling in this series but not required.  

Course Description  
This four-part follow-up course builds on foundational project management concepts and focuses on practical application in real workplace scenarios. Participants will deepen their ability to start work effectively, plan realistically, execute through influence, and close projects in ways that drive learning and value.  

The course emphasizes decision-making, communication, and judgment over formal methodology, making it ideal for professionals who manage projects alongside their primary role.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:  

  • Distinguish between project work and operational work  
  • Right-size planning and documentation based on project complexity  
  • Anticipate and manage common execution challenges  
  • Navigate stakeholder dynamics and competing priorities

Clarifying purpose, scope, and sponsorship to avoid rework and misalignment  

Session 2: Planning That Actually Helps  
Creating realistic plans that account for uncertainty, dependencies, and risk  

Session 3: Execution, Influence, and Getting Unstuck  
Managing progress, people, and decisions when authority is limited  

Session 4: Closing, Learning, and Reuse  
Ending projects cleanly and turning experience into reusable insight
