JOB TITLE DEFINITION: 

The Extension Education Specialist develops educational resources and programs for a wide variety of extension educators and clientele; establishes learning objectives; collaborates on the development and dissemination of new information; coordinates and supports research and extension activities related to certain grants and/or projects; participates in program planning teams and/or committees.

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES: 

• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational resources and programs for a wide variety of extension educators and clientele
• Coordinate and develop education events and materials to support program objectives 
• Establish learning objectives and assess program success through the development of evaluations and analysis of data 
• Conduct research to support statewide or national extension programs
• Connect local opportunities and challenges associated with agricultural business development to extension resources 
• Participate in the development of a diverse external funding portfolio
• Use innovative educational methods to deliver information and engage audiences 
• Develop or update publications, fact sheets, websites, and/or presentations for use by extension educators and clientele
• Present workshops or in-service training for extension educators or clientele
• Respond to stakeholder or government agency inquiries
