Hinge Health
Hinge Health is a free virtual physical therapy benefit for eligible employees* and non-Medicare retirees and their dependents enrolled in a Penn State health plan.
How does it work?
Hinge Health is for anyone living with joint and muscle pain such as a throbbing back, aching knees, or a weak ankle. Everyday pain can add up and affect our lives more than we realize – holding us back from lifting groceries, playing with our kids, or sleeping well at night.
Hinge Health’s personalized program combines gentle exercises to target and relieve pain with 1-on-1 support from a dedicated physical therapist and health coach. It combines this with innovative technology for real-time feedback.
Whether your goal is to hike more, work in the garden, or take the stairs (or all three), you can get on the road to pain relief with short exercises that can be done anytime, anywhere.
What is the cost?
There is $0 cost to eligible employees because this benefit is fully covered by Penn State University. It is easy to get started with no commitment to you. Signing up is easy and, once approved, you can start your exercises right away.
Note: It’s important to invite dependents who are enrolled on your health plan to register themselves.
Complete care for lasting pain relief without medications
Hinge Health is for chronic conditions, flareups, pre- and post-surgery, injuries and simply building health habits. Get the tools and guidance you need to feel better and keep moving.
