JOB TITLE DEFINITION: 

The Part-Time Instructor, Non-Credit Programs is responsible for providing instruction for University non-credit courses, such as continuing education, certification programs, workshops, seminars, hands-on training, special interest courses, etc. 

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES: 

• Instruct individuals in a classroom or educational setting
• Conduct needs assessment analysis for participants (if applicable)
• Use instructional methods geared toward the target audience; implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, that include group or individualized instruction
• Plan lessons and curriculum based on learning needs; evaluate participant performance
• Develop various course materials
• Maintain required participant progress documentation
• Complete and maintain registration, attendance, and assessment records
• Create a classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the learners
