Event Space Worker - Part Time

JOB TITLE DEFINITION:  

Event Space Worker positions are responsible for event space set up/clean-up for meeting rooms, conference centers, event venues, etc., including but not limited to tables, chairs, and stage risers. Positions in this title may also set-up, operate, and ensure all audio-visual equipment is functioning properly for events.

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES:  

• Set up meeting rooms, conference centers, event venues, etc. for events 
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and material; load and unload trucks
• Assemble and dismantle bleachers at various locations; assemble tables, platforms, etc.
• Ensure rooms are clean and set up according to written specifications prior to scheduled use
• Set up and deliver various types of audio-visual equipment to specified locations
• Test all equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly; perform routine maintenance on equipment such as replacing light bulbs
• Demonstrate proper operation of audio-visual equipment
• Respond to customer requests such as modifications in room set-up or audio-visual equipment
• Assist customers with routine malfunctions and compatibility issues with equipment; refer advanced issues to information technology personnel
• May set up and operate sound equipment for events; ensure that sound is properly monitored; troubleshoot and correct malfunctions
• Assist in maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies
• Ensure audio-visual equipment and other supplies are secure
