JOB TITLE DEFINITION: 

The Physician provides direct patient care, provides sound interpretation and application of professional standards of practice and overall adherence to policies, procedures, and protocols; this includes performing medical examinations and evaluations according to best practices and standard of care.  

SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES: 

• Perform medical examinations and evaluations according to best practices and standard of care
• Provide analysis and make recommendations for a variety of medical and prevention objectives
• Resolve complex and unusual issues as they present in patient care and general medical situations
• Maintain records and communication according to policies and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)
• Provide education and prevention services as integral component of services
• Provide clinical supervision, advice and guidance to professional and support staff and consultations for other providers, residents, and other trainees
• Develop relationships with customers, designated vendors, and trade or industry organizations
• May be charged within task force/committee or individually developing recommendations for achieving tactical or strategic goals
• Evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivery of services according to changes in practice recommendations, law, or regulations
