Notice to Out of State Applicants

Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed. Different factors are considered when evaluating such requests, including, but not limited to, the duties of the position and the University's ability to accommodate the request; however, Penn State restricts hiring candidates for remote work located in any of the following locations:

1. Any country outside of the United States.
2. For all part-time positions: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C.
3. Additional states restricted for part-time positions involving teaching responsibilities (credit or non-credit): Alaska and North Dakota.
