Overview

The Penn State Administrative Professionals Series – Level 2 (PSAPS2) is a highly interactive, instructor-led training program that builds off of the Level 1 curriculum. In this series, you will explore the key concepts of leadership, hone your presentation skills; learn the concepts of change management, and better understand the various aspects of diversity and actions you can apply to create a culture of belonging. You will discover the benefits of mindfulness, expand your personal awareness in sharpening your emotional intelligence, and receive tools and resources to prepare for career conversations. Participants will also work on a collaborative solution project outside of the classroom. PSAPS2 is offered each Fall (typically late September thru mid-November).

Details

Participants will complete a series of ten (10) virtual classroom training sessions over a 9-week period. You should expect to devote about 24 hours to attending the virtual classroom sessions, approximately 5 hours of pre and post program assignments, as well as offline completion of a collaborative solutioning project, which your project group will present to the class. Upon completion of the PSAPS2, participants earn a customized certificate of completion.

Topics include: leadership, change management, public speaking, mindfulness, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), emotional intelligence, and career development.
