You may not know, but when you joined Penn State, you united with a collective university-wide effort to built resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities on our campuses and around the world! In fact, we are proud to be number one in sustainability among the Big Ten and ranked fourth in the nation for the Times Higher Ed ranking.

Through our teaching, research, outreach, student activities, and operations we are increasing sustainability literacy, expanding commitments to sustainable practices, addressing systemic challenges, and building capacity for leadership toward a sustainable future that works for people, planet, prosperity, peace, and in partnerships.
